Coir/Coconut Logs

Coir logs are long knotted nettings filled with a fiber derived from the coarse outer covering of coconuts. Coir biodegrades slowly and therefore is an excellent long term temporary erosion control material. Logs can be used in addition to silt fence to provide added filtration and velocity check in heavy flow applications. They are also effective as storm drain inlet protection.
