Wooden Snow Fence

Snow fencing controls drifting snow during winter months. This type of fencing has been used in colder climates to keep roads and airports open. Tradionally snow fencing has been used to prevent snow from drifting onto highways and runways. Most snow fence is constructed of wooden pickets and galvanized wire. (Newer types may be made of plastic.)Both wood and plastic fences are temporary structures installed each winter.
